Since my awful downswing over a week ago, I've been running pretty well. Since my downswing, I'm up over 12 buyins in about 5000 hands of $25 PLO8. Cards have been fair, but I feel that I've been playing much better. Picking better spots to push, making better decisions on the flop and value betting everything has made a huge difference. I'm pretty happy overall though, my Full Tilt bankroll is higher than it has ever been(at least that I remember) and my combined bankroll(between Full Tilt, Pokerstars and Ultimate Bet) is higher than it's been in over 3 years.
I wish I had learned the discipline I have now a few years back. I haven't had a huge blow up in months. I'm sure I'll spazz off a couple of hundred sometime soon, but even then it shouldn't be too bad.
I think my next plan is to play a series of $20 HU S&G. I'm not sure if they'll be specifically PLO8 or if I'll add some Horse in there too. I haven't been playing many HU S&G lately, so I'm looking forward to it.
I feel like I could play the $20 NLHE HU too, but I might start those at $5 since I've only been working my way back into NLHE recently in cash games. It's been a long time since I played any NLHE S&G.
I did win last weekends Saturday weekly NLHE knockout tourney, so I was pleased with that. I feel like I played pretty well. The catalyst for the win was when it had gotten down to the bubble. UTG had 4 hands in a row opened for a min raise when I was in the big blind. On this occasion, the button(who was fairly loose with hand selection, but would fold to a big raise)smooth called UTG's min raise. I look down and have 910h's. Since we all have about the same, I decide this is a good time to shove, figuring UTG would have to have a HUGE hand to call here. I figured the button wasn't too strong and doubted he'd call. Well, UTG calls w/ AQd's. Flop came 5hKd5s, turn 5d, river 10d. Boom. Doubled up and took a massive chiplead into the final table. I was at 18K to the next highest at 8500. At one point it got as close as 12K to my 20K, but I started to destroy it after that. Shortly, when 4 handed, I was about 45k to average of 9 or so. Was really happy with the manner that I played, applying pressure at the correct time, making some good reads and my overall confidence.
I've got a ton of hands I'm mulling for posting in here. Some great decisions, bad decisions and frustrating situations that occur. I've been taking random, but common scenarios that are encountered and running them through twodimes to get a general idea of EV. It really does make a huge difference. I've been able to find areas where I was in much worse shape than I had assumed, but also several situations where I was much stronger than assumed. Not basing anything on any one's specific hands, but general ranges.
Been working on a website for my business and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Even with no real design experience and very little access to graphics programs, I'm happy with how well it's been coming along. At this point, I'm just uploading images, having just finished the final page templates. Don't think I'll end up linking it here at this point though, too much personal info. IDK.
My ugh hand of the day. Drawing dead from the get go. I've hardly played any .5/1 5 card, usually play it when doing paperwork. I really prefer 1/2 and 2/4(did take a stab at 3/6 with minor success, played a little too loose at first, but then evened things out).

Wouldn't it have been better for your opponent to have drawn (1) and representing 2 pair or trips (keeping the kicker to disguise it)?
It would seem to me that with your aggression pre-draw, he would have a better chance of getting paid by a 4-bet post-draw, rather than standing pat.
