I've been meaning to touch on this for months. If you don't have pokertracker, get it. It's a must for any serious player. It's got some incredible features. I swear that everytime I use it, I discover something new. One of the biggest assets is that it shows +/-$ per position. I knew for a while that I'd been spewing from the SB because my VP$P was too high(upper %40's in 6 max), but I didn't realize how bad it was until I found the money per position tab. Over a little more than 10K hands, I was down almost $300! WTF! That's a ridiculous sum to have to make up from the other positions. Couple that with about $100 down in the BB and the rake, I don't know how I was in the black. It certainly does make sense as to why I wasn't gaining ground to quickly. If I'd only had rakeback then.
The other feature, which I just found last week, is actually something that I'd been asking Full Tilt for in the FullTilt Forum a few months back. It's an auto hand replayer. It takes any hand played and shows how the action went down at the table, with percentages available for each street. It's sooo much better than just reading a HH. Now I go through at find hands that I lost big on and replay them. Alot are just plain old badbeats, but I've found many that were played absolutely horribly. The replayer makes it even that much more obvious. If you haven't discovered it, check it out.
Playing a little more 5card on Pokerstars again. Hadn't played in a bit because of a nasty cooler run, but also renewed interest in other games. I swear the 1/2 game is easier than the .5/1 with my playing style. I'm able to pick up many more uncontested pots and have fewer people targeting my BB in 1/2. Makes a big difference. Granted, when someone contests me, I'm usually behind, but when I lose a pot here it's usually $3max where when I win it's usually $6min. 1 win in 3 will break even or more, about average for most underdog %'s. That's why those extra blinds are so important.
Also signed up for UltimateBet for rakeback and some new games. I sorta like the CrazyPineapple game, still trying to figure it out. It's hard though because there's rarely a cash game running and the play chip games will teach the basics, but nothing else. Hard to learn any more advanced stuff. They also have 2-7 and A-5 triple draw. This has been a little more active. I definitely prefer to play these games HU I've found(along with just about anything now except 5card draw) because of my style of play. I play my best when it's a marginal vs. marginal situation. The NLHE games are pretty fun to poke around in too. So soft.
Time to go deal with leaves. Ugh.

And just like that, you've turned into a blogging machine!
I didn't mean to hassle you. I just get tired of looking for new posts from bloggers that I want to read and find nothing... I can only handle that for a month or so...
Thanks for the updates... Good stuff!
